Tourism scope in Gujarat
Gujarat state is one of the rapid
developing states located on west cost of India. Gujarat is also known as
hometown of the “Father of the Nation”. Today, Gujarat is a fast growing
industrial state of India; it is also popular as tourist destination visited by
foreign tourists throughout the year. Tourists visit this significant place for
its beauty and vibrant culture. State is studded with some of the excellent
heritage monuments which cannot be found elsewhere. Ahmadabad alone has 458
sites of historical heritage. The founder of 600 years old city was Sultan
Ahmed Shah. UNESCO has listed Ahmadabad in its World Heritage list.

Mandir, and many more are eye catching attractions for the tourists. Champaner Pavagarh
Archaeological Park near Vadodara is also a favorite jaunt for heritage lovers.
Beside heritage sites, wildlife is also a major aspect of tourism to Gujarat.
Gir National Park is the most visited wildlife sanctuary of Gujarat which has
endangered species like Lions, Chital, Chinkara, Nilgai, Sambhar, Four horned
Antelope and Wild Boar. For bird lovers during winter time, wetland birds such
as White Storks, Rosy Pelicans, Brahminy Ducks, Flamingos and Herons can be seen
at Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary. Apart from this Gujarat also leads variety in
pilgrimage places. Dwarka place of lord Krishna and Somnath temple of Lord
Shiva which is one of the twelve jyotirlinga are the
famous attraction for pilgrims. Ambaji is also one of the main attractions for
pilgrims. To concluded Gujarat tourism offers you a heritage, culture and
spirituality that cannot be found on any other part of glob.
